Our story
We started Nest Payroll because we saw how hard it was for families to do the right thing. Hiring a nanny or household employee should be straightforward — but between federal EINs, state tax accounts, quarterly filings, and year-end W-2s, most families felt overwhelmed or turned to services that charged too much for too little.
Our team came from building payroll systems at Intuit and mobile products at Realtor.com. We knew the tax engine could be automated and the experience could be simple. So we built Nest Payroll — first as an iOS app, now on the web — to handle everything from the first paycheck to the year-end Schedule H.
